Felis (Latin for cat) was an obsolete constellation created in 1799 by French astronomer Jerome Lalande to honour his love for cats. Located between Hydra and Antlia, it was depicted in the 1801 Uranographical map but never formally adopted by IAU, The star HD 85951 was named "Felis" in 2018 in its memory.
